Can we offer a complete development team at a fixed (low) monthly cost?

Av Magnus Weidmar

50,000 SEK per month for a complete development team: a senior architect and 3-4 AI programmers delivering the same capacity as a traditional team.

Yes, we believe so. We wrote a while back that we'd no longer charge for development. Now we're putting our money where our mouth is, as the saying goes.

At a cost of 50,000 SEK per month, we will start offering a complete development team.

What does that mean concretely?

To us, a complete development team is 1 architect and 3-4 programmers — that's the capacity we deliver. A senior architect (human) from Wizardworks leads the technical work. The architect makes all technical decisions, designs the solution, and ensures quality. The programmers are AI agents — roughly like giving an experienced carpenter power tools instead of hand tools. Together, the architect and AI agents deliver as a complete traditional development team.

Why is it so affordable?

As mentioned, we will no longer charge for the programming part of development projects. That used to be the bulk of our projects, what we billed for. Since programming is handled by AI agents, we can deliver the same volume of software at a fraction of the cost.

What kind of results can I expect?

It depends a bit on the project phase — a startup phase requires more architect time to build domain understanding, while ongoing development and maintenance quickly hit pace with the help of AI agents. Either way, the delivery will match the team setup mentioned above.

What kinds of projects can you deliver?

At Wizardworks we specialize in .NET and Azure. Application development, integration projects, complete platform solutions with elements of IoT, and so on. While we can theoretically take on any technology with AI agents, our architects and AI tech leads are best at briefing our AI agents for Microsoft products such as .NET, C#, Azure, and so on.

Does it also work for existing systems?

Yes, particularly well. AI is excellent at quickly understanding existing codebases, identifying dependencies, problems, and generating tests.

What accountability do you take?

We take the same accountability as if we had humans programming. We as humans and as a company remain responsible and accept full accountability for what's delivered. Regardless of how the code is produced.

Sounds exciting, but can we try first?

Of course. We usually start our partnerships with a bounded pilot project to demonstrate that what we say holds up before we sign monthly agreements.
