WizConf 2026: a day in Båstad about how we work and thrive

On Friday 11 September we closed the office in Helsingborg and drove to Hotel Skansen in Båstad. The whole company, one day, one room. We call it WizConf.

We talk a lot about AI agents. They do most of the work in our deliveries. But it is still people who set the direction, make the decisions and stand behind the result when a customer calls. That is why we spend time on what makes us good as a team. WizConf is that day.

How we work

The morning was about our way of working. We went through the whole delivery, from the first requirements review to production, the latest improvements to our agents and templates, and how a new project gets started. Everyone shared experience from their engagements, so that what works best in one project becomes the standard in all of them.

Tomorrow's consultant role

As the agents take over more of the programming, the human work becomes more important, not less. We talked about what that means day to day: communicating with the customer all the time, driving your own questions, and raising your hand early when something is off. That is the part of the job no agent does for us.

Thriving at Wizardworks

The afternoon was a workshop with post-its in two columns: what works well, and what could be even better. Everyone went through their notes, and we made decisions on several points right away.

Some of what came up:

• Regular knowledge sharing. Recurring meetings where we share ways of working and tips across engagements.
• A shared onboarding. Both when new colleagues join and when a new engagement starts, so everyone gets the same good start.
• Moving during the day. Small reminders to get up, take a walk and take a break.
• A more inspiring workplace. More colour, more plants and more energy in the office.

We went home with a concrete list, where every item has an owner.

And then

The day ended with a quiz, some time on the rooftop terrace and dinner. That is part of it too. A team that knows each other talks to each other, and a team that talks to each other takes responsibility together.
